School wellbeing across Melbourne.

Therapy Dog Visits for Schools

One-off and recurring therapy dog and animal-assisted wellbeing visits for Melbourne students and staff, from Prep to Year 12.

Kate and Murphy from Golden Bond Therapy

Flexible wellbeing sessions.

Visits can support reading, regulation, small-group engagement, positive social interaction and staff wellbeing.

Start with an introduction.

Schools are welcome to book an introductory visit before deciding whether an ongoing program is right for their community. Introductory visits are available to facilities, schools and organisations rather than individual or private-home bookings.

Golden Retriever therapy dog Murphy during a group wellbeing visit with students

A visit can be social, calm or somewhere in between.

Murphy can spend time with a small group, move between students, settle for pats or simply be nearby. Kate follows the needs of the group while keeping participation voluntary and Murphy’s comfort central to the visit.

Participation is managed carefully.

Adult supervision is required and participation is voluntary. Golden Bond can provide an informed consent process to help schools manage allergies, preferences and participation.

Professional & prepared

Documentation when you need it.

Golden Bond holds Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance through Marsh. Relevant checks, qualifications, therapy-dog certifications, veterinary records and a Certificate of Currency can be provided to your school on request.

Kate brings everything needed for herself and Murphy and can work with site-specific requirements before the visit.
