What a booking can look like

One-off or regular visits.

Some people want a single visit. Others prefer the familiarity of seeing the same handler-and-dog team over time. Golden Bond can arrange one-off sessions or recurring weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits where appropriate.

Most visits are between 30 minutes and one hour. The right duration depends on the person, group, setting and Murphy’s wellbeing.

Pricing & availability

Start with an enquiry.

Pricing varies according to location, duration, individual or group format and the needs and goals of the visit. Kate provides a personalised quote after discussing the booking.

Visits are available Tuesday to Friday, including evenings, and Saturdays. Availability varies, so early enquiries are encouraged where a particular date matters.

Common booking questions

Before you enquire.

Is this the same as pet therapy?

People often use “pet therapy” when searching for visits involving animals. Golden Bond primarily provides animal-assisted wellbeing and social visits. Where structured, goal-directed work is appropriate, Kate works within her qualifications and scope. A therapy dog being present does not automatically make a visit clinical therapy.

Can I hire Murphy for an event?

Golden Bond can attend suitable community, workplace and other events. Kate considers the venue, group size, noise, timing, participation and Murphy’s wellbeing before confirming that an event is appropriate.

Can a family book a therapy dog for an older person?

Yes. Families can enquire about private home visits, while aged care facilities can arrange one-off or recurring resident visits.

Where does Golden Bond travel?

Golden Bond provides mobile visits across Melbourne and surrounding areas. Include the suburb or postcode in the enquiry so Kate can confirm availability and travel requirements.

Is Murphy a certified therapy dog?

Murphy holds School Wellbeing and Therapy Dog Certification through Paws for Support and Learner Dog and Provisional Handler Certification through Lead the Way with Kate. He also completes ongoing recertification requirements.

Simple to arrange

What happens after you enquire?

Kate will ask about the setting, location, who Murphy will be visiting and what you would like the session to support. From there, she can recommend an appropriate visit format and duration, confirm pricing and availability, and work through any site-specific requirements or documentation.

Golden Bond holds Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance through Marsh, and a Certificate of Currency and relevant documentation are available to organisations on request.

Ready when you are

Tell Kate about the visit.

You do not need to know exactly what type of booking you need. Start with who Murphy would be visiting, where you are and what you would like the experience to feel like.

No payment is required to enquire.
