Frequently asked questions

A few things you might be wondering.

Simple answers about visits, bookings, Murphy and what to expect.

Kate and Murphy from Golden Bond Therapy
How long is a visit?

Most visits are between 30 minutes and one hour and are tailored to the setting and client.

How much does a visit cost?

Pricing varies according to location, duration, individual or group format and the needs and goals of the visit. Kate provides a personalised quote.

Can visits be recurring?

Yes. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly bookings are available, with discounted rates or package arrangements for recurring visits.

Do you work with people living with dementia?

Yes. Kate is comfortable and experienced supporting older adults, including people living with dementia and socially isolated residents.

What about allergies or fear of dogs?

Please tell Kate before the visit. Participation is always voluntary and arrangements can be planned around the individual or group.

Can people take photos?

Yes. Visitors may take appropriate photos or video. Golden Bond asks consent before publishing its own media and never publishes identifiable faces without explicit permission.

Can clients give Murphy treats?

Yes, using appropriate treats provided or approved by Kate.

How should people interact with Murphy?

Kate will explain Murphy’s preferences. No climbing on him, tail pulling or disturbing him while resting. Kate always retains control of the lead.

What if Murphy is unwell or tired?

Murphy’s welfare comes first. If he is unwell, unusually tired or a visit is not appropriate that day, Golden Bond will reschedule as soon as practical.

Is Golden Bond NDIS registered?

Not currently. Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome to enquire and should confirm their funding arrangements.

Do you offer introductory visits?

Yes. Introductory or one-off visits can be a good way for a person, school or facility to see whether an ongoing arrangement feels right.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as possible is best so we can find a time that works for everyone. Bookings are generally available Tuesday to Saturday, with Tuesday–Friday evening availability.
